The entrance of Bharatpur Jn station. The station was given a fresh coat of paint as some high official was about to visit the station. The short rake of Bhiwani - Sawai Madhopur Passenger enters the platform line at Bharatpur. BRC WAP-4 #22393 pulls into Bharatpur Jn with the Bhiwani - Sawai Madhopur passenger. BRC WAP-4 #22561 leads the ASR bound Golden Temple mail into Bharatpur. My 2980 JP - BDTS superfast was crawling behind this train! The 2980 Jaipur - Mumbai express negotiates a curve between Saphale and Vaitarna as it crawls behind another train. Two EMU rakes wait in the newly constructed stabling lines at Bhayander. One of WR's new MRVC rakes near Dahisar. As usual, the finishing of the cab is horrible.

Diwankhauti, a typical wayside station on KR Diwankhauti station with its curve looks beautiful after a short spell of rain. In charge is WDM-3A from Ernakulam Crossing over, we now wait for the clear signal The interiors of the brand new Janshatabdi coach of CR. The quality of the coach was not great. There were jammed or loose food trays, loose magazine holders in the coach. The paint job on the exterior was horrible Amidst a shower of rain, a BOXN freighter headed by twin GOC locos crosses us The Janshatabdi winds through another rock cutting on KR The beauty contest winner ED WDM-2 #18484 at the helm of Madgaon bound Janshatabdi express sends out a cloud of smoke as it notches up after clearing a speed restriction somewhere near Sangameshwar. Ukshiyard tunnel. The only double track tunnel in KR and the only station in India whose premises are in a tunnel! A lone ET wDM-3A waits at Ukshi A view of Kankavli station WE meet the TVC - VRL express at Sindhudurg Janshatabdi crosses the Janshatabdi! Our pairing train, the 2052 Janshatabdi waits patiently at Kudal headed by ED WDM-3D #11179. This board at Thivim station was near our coach D-2 on board the 2051 Janshatabdi. And guess what? Our coach was the 6th coach from the loco! Beautiful Thivim station. The JS enters the Mandovi river bridge KR's DMU rake, which runs between Madgaon and Karwar, sleeps in the shed at Verna This is the point near Majorda where the SWR line meets the KR line. The loco which brought us to Madgaon. PUNE WDM-3A #18748 waits at Madgaon with the Pune bound Poorna express. The train was fairly on time on that day. KR's Skybus lies idle near Madgaon station, apparently not in a running condition. The famous bridge on the Zuari river on KR, as seen from the parallel road bridge on the river. Early morning at Madgaon, a BOXN rake has a puny DMU for company. Do not mistake the loco at the end of the rake to be a WDG-4. Its the WDP-4 waiting to bring the Mandovi express from coaching yard. The WDP-4 shunts in the rake of Mandovi express, as a local goes about the station. A GY WDG-3A pulls the Vasco - Kulem passenger into Madgaon A view of the scenic surroundings from the Vasco - Kulem passenger One of the stations in Goa which has a typical Portugese name. The Vasco - Kulem Passenger snakes through the scenic landscape somewhere near Sanvordem. Gooty twins idle at Kulem A Gooty WDG loco #14579 stands tall in Kulem Yard.
